Works great, pricey.
Works without a hitch. The handles are not of good quality and tend to break. Does not come with inside containers but most people don't use them anyway.
Not too happy
It worked great after 2 to 3 weeks. Then one day, it exploded and my whole kitchen was drenched. I used it again hoping that maybe it was my fault but it did the same second time. Not too happy considering it's a well named company pressure cooker.
Great, simple design
Beats the Mirro that I had for several years. Nice design, not clunky looking. This is the second, and larger Hawkins pressure cooker I own. I bought a smaller one at an Indian grocery store and liked it so much that I decided to get another larger one for corn on the cob, etc. The seal is a simple O-ring, rather than the overly designed seal of the Mirro. That one stopped holding pressure, even when replaced; I suspect the locking mechanism was too worn. The Hawkins design seems to mitigate that potential problem.
