Well-Made, Beautiful, & Convenient Size
I bought several different brands and sizes of glass jars at the same time -- my pantry had been attacked by moths and I'd been told the only solution was to put my dry goods in jars. Of all the jars that have arrived, these are my favorite. They're a useful size -- great for those bags of cornmeal (not quite the size of a medium bag of flour) and for large bags of beans. They're also the most solid and classy looking of the lot. Recommend!

I love these jars. They're high-quality and made in Italy. The gasket is very tight-fitting on the lid and the lid closes securely shut with the metal clasp. I didn't know that I would be the one to have to install the gaskets on the lids, but it's no big deal--I was just very careful when putting them on the jars. They are indeed square, which is fine by me, as that takes up less space. I bought these to store premade ready-to-use mixes (recipes found in the Make-A-Mix cookbook), and they're just perfect for my purposes. I will have to cut some of the recipes in half in order to make this size work for me, but this particular deal of 6 in a case was the best on Amazon. So even though they aren't exactly the right size for most of the recipes, I'm making them work for me so that I have the benefit of using glass containers over plastic.

I store bulk herbs in these jars and absolutely love them. They seal well, are solidly built, and are aesthetically appealing.
